DJ and PK think that Utah likes where they are on the landscape of college football. Utah gets to play at Sound Bend and so what if there is now return trip. Utah doesn’t have the massive stadium to draw the big names so this is the best situation they can be in. PK wonders why BYU fan would use this against Utah fans knowing that Utah fans understand their place in college football. BYU fans demand respect from people who don’t know that they exist and most Utah fans are realistic in knowing that they are not on the national radar.
Tim Donaghy is in court today. DJ speculated on to length of punishment he will receive. PK said his true punishment will come in the next life. PK found the article by Lester Munson disturbing:
According to federal prosecutors, he used his position as a referee to learn the identities of officiating crews for specific games, his knowledge of relationships between referees and players and "team personnel," and his knowledge of the "physical condition of certain players."
A ref using inside info about the relationship between officials and players can bet and win almost 80 percent of the time. That is amazing but it also shows how un-objective NBA officiating really is and how much a grudge can effect the outcome of a game.
Both are tired of the Brett Farve coverage and tried to ignore the story but failed as they discussed the relationship between player and management.
A discussion was held about the BYU slogan of “Quest for Perfection”. PK doesn’t like it because the second you lose it is meaningless. For Utah’s slogan it was suggested by several texters Utah Football: The Quest to not get shut out by UNLV, Utah Football: Our Co-eds can play, and Utah Football: The Quest for #2.
Steve Klauke joined the show after DJ and PK heard the homer call from WGN with Ron Santo cheering on his Cubs. Klauke talked about how PXP has turned in many markets into home team cheering instead of analyzing the play.
