DJ and PK talked about the importance of tonight’s game with the Spurs. The guys think the Jazz have the ability to beat the Spurs but are not sure if the team thinks they can win. The last 6 games will be successful if the team has confidence but a loss tonight could damage the psyche of the Utah Jazz. The last line was not necessarily said by DK or PK but lets pretend they did and just move on.
The guys talked more about the BYU Alumni Fireside and how on Thursday the D-News said last year 300 people attended and this year they expect 800 alumni, family and friends. The SL Trib ups the number to 900 expected …making this chronicler of all morning show exploits think the real attendance number will be well over 4,000. In the opening announcements at the meeting Bronco will be enthroned as King of Provo for life or the length of his contract … which ever comes first.
DJ and PK asked callers how much they hate the Spurs and if it compares to the hatred for the Lakers. Most call hate the Lakers more than the Spurs …as expected. A few people said that after the Jazz they would rather Boston win the title because of the season they have had. PK asked if a team (Jazz) could pay another team (Spurs) too much respect? Other callers said they are against Chris Paul because they see D-Will as a better player.
